Today was a good day
TGIF ! Thank God its Friday. Friday is one of my favorite days of the week because I am anticipating the amazing time I am going to have for the next few days, I wonderful fiancé has weekends off and I get to spend all day with him and our beloved baby. Most Saturdays we are blessed with grandmas presence and our weekends are filled with family time something we treasure very much. We have also incorporated weekend work outs which have made me feel so good inside and healthy.
I mean sure we all have those “bad” days , tired days, late days, busy days….. but those days make our good days that much better, those days make us grateful for our good days- hopefully. Today was a seemingly perfect day it was a quiet day filled with joy and peace. Me and my baby woke up and did our morning routine which consists of welcoming the day and opening the blinds and thanking the Lord for seeing another day, breakfast, hygiene and its off to the races. He took a short nap and we got ready to run some errands, deposited money in the bank, visited the local grocery store for some spring water and herbs for mothers day and visited my mother for a little lunch break. Went home had lunch and a nap and play time again. Before we knew it daddy was home and after a while other grandma was home to watch the baby while mommy and daddy hit the gym. Light work out, sauna, abs, 1 mile run.
Needless to say the day went with out a hitch and it was so peaceful and although it was so good and I enjoyed it while it was happening, it was while I was in the shower I was really able to reflect on how good God is. In the shower these days I often meditate and speak with God often times giving him thanks and while I was doing this today I would say today was a perfect day stress free.
If only everyday could be like this, but without the days that are tough we wouldn’t appreciate all of the good days.
Most worries come from things for tomorrow. Free your mind of these worries of tomorrow and handle the day in front of you. It is much easier to live this way and it is what the Lord wants.
“The act of giving thanks releases your mind from its negative focus.” So if you find your self sad, mad, anxious- find it in your heart to give thanks for the things that you do have.
“Peace I leave with you; my peace I give you. I do not give to you as the world gives. Do not let your hearts be troubled an so not be afraid.” – John 14:17
